Abstract
Methods, apparatus and systems for performing a random access procedure in a wireless communication are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication node is disclosed. The method comprises: receiving, from a wireless communication device, a first message comprising a preamble and a payload for an access to the wireless communication node; and transmitting, to the wireless communication device, a second message in response to the first message.

A method for wireless communication, the method comprising:
- selecting, by a wireless communication device, a preamble;
- selecting, by the wireless communication device, a payload according to the selected preamble;
- transmitting, by the wireless communication device to a wireless communication node, a first message comprising the preamble and the payload for an access to the wireless communication node;
- and
- receiving, by the wireless communication device from the wireless communication node, a second message in response to the first message,
- wherein:
- a modulation coding scheme (MCS) is configured for the payload.
A wireless communication device comprising:
- a memory storing instructions;
- and
- at least one processor in communication with the memory, wherein, when the at least one processor executes the instructions, the at least one processor is configured to cause the wireless communication device to:
- select a preamble;
- select a payload according to the selected preamble;
- transmit, to a wireless communication node, a first message comprising the preamble and the payload for an access to the wireless communication node;
- and
- receive, from the wireless communication node, a second message in response to the first message,
- wherein:
- a modulation coding scheme (MCS) is configured for the payload.
A non-transitory computer program product comprising a computer-readable program medium storing instructions, wherein, the instructions, when executed by at least one processor in a wireless communication device, are configured to cause the wireless communication device to:
- select a preamble;
- select a payload according to the selected preamble;
- transmit, to a wireless communication node, a first message comprising the preamble and the payload for an access to the wireless communication node;
- and
- receive, from the wireless communication node, a second message in response to the first message,
- wherein:
- a modulation coding scheme (MCS) is configured for the payload.
