Configuration-based ue msd reporting

Tangible, non-transitory, computer-readable media, storing instructions that cause processing circuitry to:

• receive a first indication of reference sensitivity of a receiver of user equipment when a base station is not sending a downlink transmission to the receiver;
• cause a transmitter of the user equipment to transmit a signal at a predetermined power level;
• receive a second indication of interference power at the receiver;
• and
• cause the transmitter to transmit a maximum sensitivity degradation (MSD) value to the base station based on the reference sensitivity and the interference.

An electronic device, comprising:

• a transmitter;
• a receiver;
• and
• processing circuitry communicatively coupled to the transmitter and the receiver, wherein the processing circuitry is configured to
• determine a combination of a plurality of component carriers to allocate to user equipment,
• cause the transmitter to send an indication to the user equipment to determine a receiver sensitivity degradation value based on interference when operating using the combination, and
• cause the receiver to receive the receiver sensitivity degradation value from the user equipment.
