Abstract
The present invention relates to a composition comprising an alkali metal salt of bis(fluoro sulfonyl)imide and to the use of such composition in an electrolyte for batteries.
Claims12
A composition comprising:
- at least one alkali metal salt of bis(fluoro sulfonyl)imide [FSI-salt];
- at least one alkali metal salt of FSO3− in an amount up to 100 ppm, as measured by ionic chromatography;
- at least one compound of formula (I) as represented below or an alkali metal salt thereof, in an amount up to 100 ppm, as measured by ionic chromatography:
- at least one compound of formula (II) as represented below or an alkali metal salt thereof, in an amount up to 100 ppm as measured by ionic chromatography:
- a total alcohol content equal to or lower than 20 ppm, as measured by head-space gas chromatography (HS-GC-FID);
- and
- a moisture content equal to or lower than 15 ppm, as measured by Karl-Fisher titration.
