Abstract

A medical services kiosk supporting private and secure telemedicine sessions between a patient and a remote network terminal utilized by a remote health care professional. The medical services kiosk comprising at least one privacy chamber having at least one door and at least one window. Each privacy chamber may include a user interactive display terminal that includes a display device, an input device, and a centralized processor, wherein the centralized processor is electronically communicable with the remote network terminal and a cloud based system. Each patient station may each include at least one documentation receiving device, at least one biometric device for obtaining biometric health measurements of the patient utilizing the at least one patient station, an arm mechanism, a seating mechanism, a camera, a retractable diagnostic camera device, a lighting mechanism that lights the privacy chamber, and a purification system.

Dependent claims

A method of providing remote real time patient ailment diagnoses and treatment, said method including the steps of:

(a) receiving a patient within a patient station, said patient station comprising:
a privacy chamber having at least one door;
an electronic device, wherein said is electronically communicable over a network with a cloud based system and a remotely located network terminal;
at least one documentation receiving device;
a plurality of medical-related devices;
a retractable diagnostic camera;
a camera;
a privacy system;
a lighting mechanism that lights said privacy chamber;
and
a purification system,
wherein said at least one documentation receiving device, said plurality of medical-related devices, said retractable diagnostic, and said camera are communicable with said electronic device;
(b) connecting said electronic device to said cloud based system;
(c) matching said patient with an available remote health care professional for a medical session;
(d) establishing a connection between said electronic device and said remotely located network terminal over said network, wherein said remotely located network terminal is accessible by said available healthcare professional;
(e) enabling bidirectional communication between said patient and said healthcare professional;
and
(f) purifying said privacy chamber by way of said purification system after said patient has left said privacy chamber.

(b) activating said privacy system after said patient has entered said patient station;
(c) connecting said electronic device to said cloud based system;
(d) performing a search query by said cloud based system for an available health care professional for a medical session;
(e) matching said patient with said available remote health care professional for said medical session;
(f) establishing a connection between said electronic device and said remotely located network terminal over said network, wherein said remotely located network terminal is accessible by said healthcare professional;
(g) enabling bi-directional communication between said patient and said healthcare professional;
(h) broadcasting a live image of said patient within said privacy chamber to said remotely located network terminal, said live image viewable by said healthcare professional;
(i) broadcasting a live image of said healthcare professional overseeing said medical session to said electronic device, said live image viewable by said patient within said privacy chamber;
(j) prompting said patient to select and use at least one medical-related device from said plurality of medical-related devices to run a medical diagnostic test;
(k) transmitting readable data from said at least one of medical-related device used to perform said at least one medical diagnostic test by said patient to said remotely network terminal accessible by said healthcare professional;
(l) terminating said medical session;
(m) deactivating said privacy system after said medical session has been terminated;
and
(n) purifying said privacy chamber by way of said purification system after said patient has left said privacy chamber.

a printer for printing a prescription;

wherein said at least one documentation receiving device, said plurality of medical-related devices, said retractable diagnostic camera, said camera, said printer, and said medicine dispenser are communicable with said electronic device;
(b) activating said privacy system after said patient has entered said patient station;
(c) requesting said patient to provide medical insurance information readable by said at least one documentation device to establish a medical session;
(d) connecting said electronic device to said cloud based system;
(e) performing a search query by said cloud based system for an available health care professional for said medical session;
(f) matching said patient with said available remote health care professional for said medical session;
(g) establishing a connection between said electronic device and said remotely located network terminal over said network, wherein said remotely located network terminal is accessible by a healthcare professional;
(h) enabling bi-directional communication between said patient and said healthcare professional;
(i) broadcasting a live image of said patient within said privacy chamber to said remotely located network terminal, said live image viewable by said healthcare professional;
(j) broadcasting a live image of said healthcare professional overseeing said medical session to said electronic device, said live image viewable by said patient within said privacy chamber;
(k) requesting said patient to select and use at least one medical-related device from said plurality of medical-related devices to run a medical diagnostic test;
(l) transmitting readable data from said at least one of medical-related device used to perform said at least one medical diagnostic test by said patient to said remotely network terminal accessible by said healthcare professional;
(m) prescribing a medication;
(n) determining by said electronic device if said medication prescribed is available in said medicine dispenser,
if, as a result of said determining step, said medication is available in said medicine dispenser, the step of dispensing said medication from said medicine dispenser;
and
if, as a result of said determining step, said medication is instead not available in said medicine dispenser, the step of printing a medication prescription corresponding to said medication by way of said printer;
(o) terminating said medical session;
(p) deactivating said privacy system after said medical session has been terminated;
and
(q) purifying said privacy chamber by way of said purification system after said patient has left said privacy chamber.
