Abstract

Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for shared folder backed integrated workspaces. In some implementations, a content management system can provide a graphical user interface (GUI) that integrates communications and content management into a single user interface. The user interface can include mechanisms that allow a user to provide input to generate a new workspace. The user interface can provide a mechanism to allow a user to view conversations related to the workspace and/or content items associated with the workspace. The user interface can present representations of content items associated with the workspace and allow the user to provide input to generate, view, edit, and share content items associated with the workspace.

Dependent claims

A method comprising:

identifying, by a content management system, a workspace associated with a user account;
receiving, at the content management system, a request to open a first web application and a second web application;
generating, by the content management system, a graphical user interface representing the workspace, including a plurality of graphical elements corresponding to the first web application and the second web application;
pinning in the workspace a first graphical user interface element corresponding to the first web application;
pinning in the workspace a second graphical user interface element corresponding to the second web application;
and
causing, by the content management system, a display of the graphical user interface on a user device associated with the user account.

at least one processor;
and
a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, configure the system to:
identify, by a content management system, a workspace associated with a user account;
receive, at the content management system, a request to open a first web application and a second web application;
generate, by the content management system, a graphical user interface representing the workspace, including a plurality of graphical elements corresponding to the first web application and the second web application;
pin in the workspace a first graphical user interface element corresponding to the first web application;
pin in the workspace a second graphical user interface element corresponding to the second web application;
and
cause, by the content management system, a display of the graphical user interface on a user device associated with the user account.
