An image forming apparatus includes a hardware processor. The hardware processor specifies a target component requiring maintenance, among one or more components of the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus further includes a display that displays access information for accessing maintenance information on the target component. The access information is information readable by an external terminal different from the image forming apparatus.

An image forming apparatus comprising a hardware processor, wherein
- the hardware processor specifies a target component requiring maintenance, among one or more components of the image forming apparatus,
- the image forming apparatus further comprises a display that displays access information for accessing maintenance information on the target component, and
- the access information is information readable by an external terminal different from the image forming apparatus.
A providing method for providing maintenance information on an image forming apparatus, the providing method comprising:
- specifying a target component requiring maintenance, among one or more components of the image forming apparatus;
- and
- displaying access information for accessing the maintenance information on the target component, wherein
- the access information is information readable by an external terminal different from the image forming apparatus.
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program that causes a computer to perform a providing method for providing maintenance information on an image forming apparatus, the providing method comprising:
- specifying a target component requiring maintenance, among one or more components of the image forming apparatus;
- and
- displaying access information for accessing the maintenance information on the target component, wherein
- the access information is information readable by an external terminal different from the image forming apparatus.
