Abstract
The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I): wherein R is a radical selected from a linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbyl group optionally comprising one or more heteroatoms, such as oxygen, sulfur, halogen, silicon, nitrogen atoms, and its use as a hydrogen sulphide and/or mercaptans scavenger in hydrocarbon compositions and in water-based compositions such as water-based drilling fluids.
