Abstract
The present invention is to provide a preventive or therapeutic agent for a neurodegenerative disease or a cognitive dysfunction, containing a compound represented by a following formula (I) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.

A method of treating Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, or Lewy body dementia in a subject, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising a compound of formula (I) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof:
- wherein the composition comprises 0.15% or less of a compound of formula (II):
- and
- wherein in Formula (I) and Formula (II),
- X is H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, F, Cl, Br, or I;
- and R1 is alkyl, alkenyl, or aryl.
