Abstract
A system for processing foodstuffs includes a container platform, a blade platform, and a locking mechanism. The container platform defines a container receptacle configured to receive a container including foodstuffs. The blade platform includes blades configured to rotate to process the foodstuffs. The locking mechanism is configured to couple the container platform to the blade platform to form a blending chamber including the blades and the container subsequent to determining that the container is received by the container receptacle and prior to rotation of the blades.

A system comprising:
- a container receptacle to receive a container of foodstuffs;
- at least one sensor to:
- detect, from an identification feature on the container, a type of the foodstuffs of the container;
- and
- output a signal corresponding to the type of foodstuffs;
- and
- one or more processors to:
- receive the signal from the sensor;
- select a blend cycle schedule according to the signal;
- and
- execute a blend cycle over according to the blend cycle schedule.
A method comprising:
- determining that a container of foodstuffs is received by a container receptacle of a container platform;
- detecting, by at least one sensor, at least one identification feature of the container of foodstuffs, the identification feature indicating identification information corresponding to the type of foodstuffs contained;
- outputting, by the at least one sensor, a signal including a sensor value indicating the identification information;
- receiving, by one or more processors, the signal from the at least one sensor of the container platform;
- selecting, by the one or more processors, a blend cycle schedule based on the signal;
- and
- transmitting, by the one or more processors, a control signal to cause execute of a blend cycle according to the blend cycle schedule.
