Abstract
An insulation panel comprising an outer shell formed of thermoplastic material and an inner space inside the outer shell, wherein the inner space is at least partially filled with a foamed inorganic material comprising at least one mineral binder and optionally at least one synthetic organic polymer, wherein the foamed inorganic material has a density of not more than 500 g/l. The invention is also directed to a method for producing an insulation panel.
Claims17
An insulation panel comprising an outer shell formed of a thermoplastic material and an inner space inside the outer shell, wherein the inner space is at least partially filled with a foamed inorganic material comprising:
- a) at least one mineral binder
- b) optionally at least one synthetic organic polymer,
- wherein the foamed inorganic material has a density of not more than 500 g/l.
A method for producing an insulation panel comprising steps of:
- I) providing an outer shell of a thermoplastic material,
- II) providing a foamed inorganic composition,
- III) at least partially filing an inner space inside the outer shell with the foamed inorganic composition, and
- IV) letting the foamed inorganic composition to harden,
- wherein the foamed inorganic composition comprises:
- a) at least one mineral binder and
- b) optionally at least one synthetic organic polymer,
- c) optionally at least one surfactant, and
- d) water,
- wherein the foamed inorganic composition has a density of not more than 500 g/l.
