Abstract
A spray gun for a plural component system is provided. The spray gun includes a first component delivery line and a second component delivery line. The spray gun also includes a nozzle, configured to receive and mix a first component received from the first component delivery line with a second component received from the second component delivery line. The spray gun also includes an air purge system configured to, when the spray gun is in a non-actuated position, purge the nozzle of the first and second components and, when the spray gun is in an actuated position, aid in atomization of the mixture of the first and second components.

A plural component applicator comprising:
- a nozzle configured to receive a first component and a second component, and to generate a mixture of the first component and the second component, the nozzle comprising a nozzle outlet configured to output the mixture;
- a nozzle interface configured to removably receive the nozzle, the nozzle interface comprising an alignment channel configured to receive a protrusion of the nozzle that aligns the nozzle in the nozzle interface;
- a rotatable nozzle securing component configured to rotate relative to the nozzle interface between a first position and a second position, wherein
- in the first position, the rotatable nozzle securing component allows insertion of the protrusion into the alignment channel, and
- in the second position, the rotatable nozzle securing component retains the protrusion in the alignment channel;
- and
- a valve actuatable to control flow of the first component and the second component to the nozzle.
A plural component applicator comprising:
- a nozzle configured to receive a first component and a second component, and to generate a mixture of the first component and the second component, the nozzle comprising a nozzle outlet configured to output the mixture;
- a valve actuatable to control flow of the first component and the second component to the nozzle;
- a nozzle interface configured to removably receive the nozzle;
- and
- a collar configured to rotate relative to the nozzle interface, wherein, when the collar is rotated in a first direction, the collar exerts a force on the nozzle in a direction toward the valve, and when the collar is rotated in a second direction, the collar exerts a force on the nozzle in a direction away from the valve.
A plural component applicator comprising:
- a nozzle configured to generate a mixture of a first component and a second component, the nozzle comprising:
- a first component inlet configured to receive a flow of the first component;
- a second component inlet configured to receive a flow of the second component;
- and
- a nozzle outlet configured to output the mixture;
- a nozzle interface configured to removably receive the nozzle, the nozzle interface comprising:
- a first orifice configured to receive the first component inlet therein such that the first component inlet is face sealed to the nozzle interface;
- and
- a second orifice configured to receive the second component inlet therein such that the second component inlet is face sealed to the nozzle interface;
- and
- a valve actuatable to control flow of the first component and the second component to the nozzle.
