Abstract
The present disclosure is related to methods and network nodes for handling infringement of a background data transfer (BDT) policy. A method at a first network node for handling infringement of one or more conditions associated with a negotiated BDT policy, the method comprising: determining whether a user equipment (UE) infringes any of the one or more conditions other than one or more negotiated time intervals during which BDT is expected to be performed by the UE; and triggering updating of a charging rate applied for the UE in response to determining that the UE infringes at least one of the one or more conditions.

A method at a first network node for handling infringement of one or more conditions associated with a negotiated background data transfer (BDT) policy, the method comprising:
- determining whether a user equipment (UE) infringes any of the one or more conditions other than one or more negotiated time intervals during which BDT is expected to be performed by the UE;
- and
- triggering updating of a charging rate applied for the UE in response to determining that the UE infringes at least one of the one or more conditions.

A method at a second network node for handling infringement of one or more conditions associated with a negotiated background data transfer (BDT) policy, the method comprising:
- transmitting, to a first network node, a fourth message for activating a BDT session for a UE;
- and
- receiving, from the first network node, a first message for notifying that at least one of the one or more conditions is infringed by the BDT session.

A method at a third network node for handling infringement of one or more conditions associated with a negotiated background data transfer (BDT) policy, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a first network node, a message indicating that at least one of the one or more conditions is infringed by a user equipment (UE);
- and
- triggering updating of a charging rate applied for the UE in response to the received message.
