Abstract
An object is to provide a magnetic recording medium that exhibits high resolution. The present technology provides a magnetic recording medium of a tape form, including: a magnetic layer; and an underlayer, in which a core part level difference Rk is 5.5 nm or less in a bearing curve generated on the basis of height data of a magnetic layer-side surface acquired using an atomic force microscope, and an average thickness of the underlayer is 1.50 μm or less. In addition, the present technology also provides a tape cartridge including the magnetic recording medium of the tape form.
Claims14
A magnetic recording medium of a tape form, comprising:
- a magnetic layer;
- and
- an underlayer,
- wherein a core part level difference Rk is 5.5 nm or less in a bearing curve generated on the basis of height data of a magnetic layer-side surface acquired using an atomic force microscope, and
- wherein an average thickness of the underlayer is 1.50 μm or less.
