The present invention relates to a composite elongated body (3), comprising high performance polyethylene HIPPE filaments (2) having a tenacity of at least 0.6 N/tex and a polymeric composition throughout (10) the composite elongated body, wherein the polymeric composition comprises a thermoplastic ethylene copolymer and a lubricant; and wherein the thermoplastic ethylene copolymer is a copolymer of ethylene and wherein said polymeric composition has a peak melting temperature in the range from 40 to 140° C. measured in accordance with ASTM E794-06.
