Abstract
The present invention provides a method for producing a water-soluble polymer with high production efficiency, and a method for producing a water-absorbing resin having excellent water absorption performance. The present invention relates to a method for producing a water-soluble polymer, comprising: (a1) reducing the molecular weight of a starch to obtain a partially degraded starch; and (a2) introducing an ionic functional group into the partially degraded starch obtained in the step (a1).
Claims16
A method for producing a water-absorbing resin, comprising:
- (c1) producing a water-soluble polymer by:
- (a1) reducing a molecular weight of a starch to obtain a partially degraded starch;
- and
- (a2) introducing an acidic group into the partially degraded starch obtained in the step (a1);
- (c2) neutralizing the acidic group introduced into the water-soluble polymer;
- and
- (c3) crosslinking one water-soluble polymer with another.
A method for producing a water-soluble polymer, comprising:
- (a1) reducing a molecular weight of a starch to obtain a partially degraded starch;
- and
- (a2) introducing an acidic group into the partially degraded starch obtained in the step (a1).
A method for producing a water-soluble polymer, comprising:
- (b1) introducing an acidic group into a starch;
- and
- (b2) reducing a molecular weight of the starch having the acidic group obtained in the step (b1) to obtain a partially degraded starch having the acidic group.
