Abstract
A galley cart restraint mechanism is provided. The galley cart restraint mechanism including a base portion, a post portion coupled to the base portion, and a foot portion coupled to the post portion. At least the foot portion is configured to engage with a floor track to prevent movement of the galley cart in at least a first direction.

A galley cart restraint mechanism, comprising:
- a guide mechanism coupled to a galley cart, the guide mechanism comprising:
- a base portion;
- a post portion coupled to the base portion;
- and
- a foot portion coupled to the post portion, wherein at least the foot portion is configured to engage with a floor track to prevent movement of the galley cart in at least a first direction.

- a galley cart;
- a galley cart stowage bay configured to store the galley cart;
- a floor track along a length of the galley cart stowage bay and coupled to an aircraft frame structure;
- and
- a guide mechanism coupled to the galley cart, the guide mechanism comprising:

- a post portion coupled to the base portion;
- and
- a foot portion coupled to the post portion, wherein at least the foot portion is configured to engage with the floor track to prevent movement of the galley cart in at least a first direction.
