Abstract
A mount for a snowboard binding including a base plate mounted to the snowboard defining a first locking position for scooting the snowboard and engaging with a rotatably settable disc defining a second locking position for riding the snow board. An attachment to the binding rotates on the settable disc and includes a radially actuating lock for selectably engaging with the first or second locking positions.
Claims20
A mount for attaching a snowboard binding to a snowboard,
- the mount comprising:
- a base plate fixedly attachable to the snowboard comprising a central hub defining an axis of rotation and a peripherally positioned first locking portion;
- a setting disc comprising a peripherally positioned second locking portion;
- a rotating disc assembly sitting atop the setting disc and attachable to the snowboard binding and rotatable about the axis of rotation, the rotating disc assembly including a position lock engageable with the first locking portion and the second locking portion to inhibit rotation of the rotating disc assembly;
- and
- wherein the setting disc is rotatable about the central hub and can be fixed at a selectable predetermined angle with respect to the base plate.
A mount for attaching a snowboard binding to a snowboard, wherein the mount includes means to limit the maximum rotation of the snowboard binding with respect to the snowboard in a first direction at a first selectable angle, and means to limit the maximum rotation of the snowboard binding with respect to the snowboard in a second direction at a second selectable angle.
The mount for attaching a snowboard binding to a snowboard, the mount comprising:
- a base plate fixedly attachable to the snowboard comprising a central hub defining an axis of rotation and a peripherally positioned first locking portion;
- a setting disc rotatable about the central hub comprising a peripherally positioned second locking portion;
- a rotating disc assembly sitting atop the setting disc and attachable to the snowboard binding and rotatable about the axis of rotation, the rotating disc assembly including a position lock engageable with the first locking portion and the second locking portion to inhibit rotation of the rotating disc assembly;
- and
- wherein the base plate further comprises a series of upwardly facing teeth and the setting disc further comprises a series of downwardly facing teeth for engaging with the teeth of the base plate, wherein engagement of the base plate teeth with the setting disc teeth constrain the base plate and the setting disc at a selectable predetermined angle with respect to each other and prevent rotational movement of the setting disc with respect to the base plate and wherein the position lock comprises a locking pin and the first locking portion comprises a first locking hole for engagement with the locking pin to rotationally position the rotating disc assembly with respect to the snowboard and the second locking portion comprises a second locking hole for engagement with the locking pin to rotationally position the rotating disc assembly with respect to the snowboard.
