A sports shoe, wherein at least a portion of an upper of the shoe comprises:
- a. a first layer, and
- b. a functional second layer directly printed onto the first layer.
A method for manufacturing at least a portion of an upper of a sports shoe, comprising printing a functional second layer directly onto a first layer.
