Abstract
The invention relates to a composition for forming artificial leather said composition comprises at least one polymer and plant powder from plant remains having cellulose, having a grain size of 1 μm to 1 mm and a moisture content of less than 20 weight percent.

A method for producing an artificial leather laminate comprising starting with a composition consisting essentially of at least one polymer and plant powder from fruit residues with cellulose with a grain size of 1 μm to 1 mm and moisture content of less than 20% by weight, the at least one polymer is a natural polymer and another polymer is polyurethane with additives for coagulation, or agents to facilitate leveling, and the polyurethane consists of biological material and being at least 35 weight percent of the fruit residue;
- preparing a first layer of a fabric base;
- applying the composition to the fabric base;
- and
- leveling the composition which has been applied to the fabric base and drying the composition.
