Abstract
A system configured to be coupled with a participant of an activity. The system comprises: a participant activity monitoring unit configured for monitoring a performance of the activity by the participant; an activity information module configured for storing performance information corresponding to the activity; and a participant performance correlator configured for delivering comparative performance data based on the monitored performance of the activity by the participant and the stored performance information.
Claims30
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a computer, cause said computer to perform a method for a virtual competition for a performance activity along a geographical route, the method comprising:
- receiving data related to the geographical route and performance data of a first user's activity along the geographical route;
- receiving a tracked location of a second user along the geographical route;
- recording and displaying performance data of the second user's activity along the geographical route;
- recreating a map of the geographical route, wherein the map displays the tracked location of the second user along the geographical route relative to a displayed simulated location of the first user along the geographical route;
- and
- generating and displaying comparative performance metrics of the second user vis-à-vis the first user along the geographical route.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform a method for a virtual competition in which a comparison is generated for performances of an activity along a geographical route, the method comprising:
- receiving data related to the geographical route and performance data of a first performance of the activity along the geographical route;
- receiving a tracked location of a second performance of the activity along the geographical route;
- recording and displaying performance data of the second performance of the activity along the geographical route;
- recreating a map of the geographical route, wherein the map displays the tracked location of the second performance of the activity along the geographical route relative to the first performance of the activity along the geographical route;
- and
- generating and displaying comparative performance metrics between the second performance of the activity and the first performance of the activity along the geographical route.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform a method for a virtual competition in which a comparison is generated for performances of an activity, the method comprising:
- receiving data related to a first performance of an activity, said data including tracked location of said first performance of the activity along a geographical route;
- receiving data related to a second performance of the activity, said data including tracked location of said second performance of the activity along the geographical route;
- generating comparative performance data by comparing the data related to the first performance of the activity with the data related to the second performance of the activity;
- and
- providing the comparative performance data to a user.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a computer, cause said computer to perform a method for a virtual competition in which a comparison is generated for performances of an activity along a geographical route, the method comprising:
- receiving performance data and tracked locations of a first performance of an activity along the geographical route;
- receiving performance data and tracked locations of a second performance of the activity along the geographical route;
- generating comparative performance data by comparing the performance data and/or the tracked locations of the first performance of the activity with the performance data and/or the tracked locations of the second performance of the activity;
- and
- providing the comparative performance data to a user.
