Abstract
The present disclosure provides a method for flow rate compensation in devices, such as infusion pumps. In various embodiments, a computer-implemented method includes determining a location of a plurality of infusion pumps in a pump stack including the plurality of infusion pumps and a fluid supply connected to each of the plurality of infusion pumps. The computer-implemented method also includes determining a reference infusion pump, in the plurality of infusion pumps, and adjusting the flow rate for each infusion pump in the plurality of infusion pumps based on the distance between the infusion pump and the reference infusion pump.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- determining a location of a plurality of infusion pumps in a pump stack comprising the plurality of infusion pumps and a fluid supply container connected to each of the plurality of infusion pumps;
- determining a reference infusion pump among the plurality of infusion pumps by determining which of the plurality of infusion pumps is a reference distance from the fluid supply container;
- and
- adjusting a flow rate for each infusion pump in the plurality of infusion pumps, which is not the reference infusion pump, based on a distance between the other infusion pump and the reference infusion pump.
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- determining a location of a plurality of medical devices in a stack comprising the plurality of medical devices and a fluid supply container connected to each of the plurality of medical devices;
- determining a reference medical device among the plurality of medical devices by determining which of the plurality of medical devices is a reference distance from the fluid supply container;
- and
- adjusting a flow rate for each medical device in the plurality of medical devices, which is not the reference medical device, based on a distance between the other medical device and the reference medical device.
