A method of manufacturing a sunscreen composition having a combination of at least one anionic surfactant and one non-ionic co-surfactant selected from inulin lauryl carbamate and sodium N-stearoyl-N-methyl taurate, respectively, UV filters, and pigments, wherein an amount of the one non-ionic co-surfactant is at least 0.5% by weight, relative to a total weight of the sunscreen composition, wherein the UV filters are any organic compound for screening out UV radiation, which can be fully dissolved in molecular form or miscible in a fluid phase or which can be dissolved in colloidal form, wherein the UV filters are selected from at least one of oil-soluble organic ingredient, water-soluble organic ingredient, or silica-coated titanium dioxide ingredient, wherein the pigments are coated by undergoing one or more surface treatments of a chemical, an electronic, a mechanochemical or a mechanical process, and wherein the pigments are selected from a group of metal oxide pigments, including at least one of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, titanium oxide, iron oxide, zirconium oxide and cerium oxide, or mixtures thereof, the method comprising:
- mixing an oil phase including oil raw materials, and heating up to 75° C.;
- mixing an aqueous phase including aqueous raw materials until complete homogenization is achieved, and heating up to 75° C.;
- adding the aqueous phase to the oil phase, after which an emulsifier is subsequently added to form a mixture;
- adding polymers to the mixture, subsequently followed by a neutralization step;
- and
- gradually adding fillers to the mixture and mixing until homogenization is achieved, at a temperature of below 30° C.
