Abstract
The present disclosure relates to curable wax compositions comprising a natural wax, a drying oil, and a terpene compound. Such compositions may further include a UV catalyst or at least one additive. Disclosed compositions are free from fluorinated compounds, such as per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other environmentally harmful chemicals. Also included are methods for producing and using such compositions.
Claims15
A curable wax composition comprising a drying oil, a monoterpene compound, and a natural wax, wherein the composition comprises the natural wax in an amount of 45-85% w/w relative to the total composition.
The composition of 1, wherein the monoterpene compound comprises camphor, citral, citronellol, geraniol, grapefruit mercaptan, eucalyptol, ocimene, myrcene, limonene, linalool, menthol, camphene, or pinene.
A ski wax composition comprising:
- a) 10-15% (w/w) tung oil;
- b) 55-80% (w/w) of a natural wax blend;
- c) 10-15% (w/w) limonene;
- and
- d) 1-5% (w/w) of a UV catalyst.
