Abstract
A chloroprene polymer containing at least one selected from the group consisting of a homopolymer of chloroprene and a copolymer of chloroprene with 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene, in which in gel permeation chromatography measurement of a toluene soluble content, the chloroprene polymer has a first peak having a weight average molecular weight of 500,000 to 900,000 and a second peak having a weight average molecular weight of 7,000 to 80,000, and a toluene insoluble content is 60% by mass or more.

A chloroprene polymer comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of a homopolymer of chloroprene and a copolymer of chloroprene with 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene, wherein
- in gel permeation chromatography measurement of a toluene soluble content, the chloroprene polymer has a first peak having a weight average molecular weight of 500,000 to 900,000 and a second peak having a weight average molecular weight of 7,000 to 80,000, and
- a toluene insoluble content is 60% by mass or more.
A method for manufacturing a chloroprene polymer, the method comprising:
- a step of mixing a polymer A obtained by polymerizing chloroprene and 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene at a polymerization temperature of 10 to 45° C. and a polymerization rate of 80 to 95% in the presence of a chain transfer agent, water, alkali, an emulsifier, a reducing agent, and a polymerization initiator, and
- a polymer B obtained by polymerizing 90 to 100 parts by mass of chloroprene at a polymerization temperature of 10 to 45° C. and a polymerization rate of 60 to 90% in the presence of 1 to 10 parts by mass of a chain transfer agent, water, alkali, an emulsifier, a reducing agent, and a polymerization initiator, wherein
- a ratio of 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene in the polymerization of the polymer B is 10 parts by mass or less.
