A method of treating cancer in a subject in need thereof comprising:
- a. measuring CD58 expression in tumor cells of a tumor cell sample obtained from the subject;
- and
- b. administering an immunotherapy to the subject if the tumor cells express CD58.
A method of detecting a cancer in a subject, comprising measuring CD58 expression in a tumor cell sample obtained from the subject, wherein detection of expression of CD58 indicates the cancer is sensitive to immunotherapy.
