Abstract
The present invention provides combinations comprising a sedating antihistamine and selected indole-based natural products such as L-tryptophan, 5-hydroxytryptophan and melatonin, along with pharmaceutically acceptable calcium and magnesium salts and selected B vitamins. These combinations are useful in providing a medicament for improving sleep in mammals, especially humans.

A method of treating circadian rhythm disturbances and sleep-related breathing disorders comprising the administration of
- and at least one of the following compounds selected from the group consisting of
- wherein said compounds include pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof;
- and,
- wherein said method comprises the administration of 0.001 g-0.05 g of formula I, 0.001 g-1.0 g of formula II, 0.035 g-0.1 g of formula III, and 1 mg-10 mg of formula IV.
