Abstract
A life of a heating element is extended. A furnace (11) in accordance with the present invention includes: a heating element (21) that generates heat in response to conduction of electricity; and a supply and exhaust system (30) that adjusts an atmosphere inside the furnace (11).

A furnace comprising:
- a heating element that generates heat in response to conduction of electricity;
- and
- a supply and exhaust system that adjusts an atmosphere inside the furnace.
A method for manufacturing a glass product, the method comprising the steps of:
- heating a glass material in a furnace including a heating element that generates heat in response to conduction of electricity;
- and
- supplying and exhausting an atmosphere inside the furnace.
