Abstract
A method for increasing switching efficiency in a power switching topology includes summing a first signal with a first triangle wave signal and with a square wave signal to generate a second signal. The method further includes creating a second triangle wave signal and a third triangle wave signal. The method also includes comparing the second signal with the second triangle wave signal to generate a first pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. The method also includes comparing the second signal with the third triangle wave signal to generate a second PWM signal. The method further includes generating an output signal based on the first PWM signal and the second PWM signal.

A method for increasing switching efficiency, the method comprising:
- summing a first signal with a first triangle wave signal and with a square wave signal to generate a second signal;
- creating a second triangle wave signal and a third triangle wave signal;
- comparing the second signal with the second triangle wave signal to generate a first pulse width modulation (PWM) signal;
- comparing the second signal with the third triangle wave signal to generate a second PWM signal;
- and
- generating an output signal based on the first PWM signal and the second PWM signal.
A system for increasing switching efficiency, the system comprising:
- a first stage configured to output a first signal based on an input signal and at least one feedback signal;
- a second stage configured to sum the first signal with a first triangle wave signal and with a square wave signal to generate a second signal;
- a third stage configured to compare the second signal with a second triangle wave signal to generate a first pulse width modulation (PWM) signal, and to compare the second signal with a third triangle wave signal to generate a second PWM signal;
- and
- a fourth stage configured to generate an output signal based on the first PWM signal and the second PWM signal.
A system for increasing switching efficiency, the system comprising:
- a first summer configured to sum a first signal with a first triangle wave signal and with a square wave signal to generate a second signal;
- a first comparator configured to compare the second signal with a second triangle wave signal to generate a first pulse width modulation (PWM) signal;
- a second comparator configured to compare the second signal with a third triangle wave signal to generate a second PWM signal;
- and
- a plurality of switches configured to be driven based on the first PWM signal and the second PWM signal to generate an output signal.
