Abstract
An improved slingshot comprises a resiliently stretchable material, a grip, an insert having a first body and a second body having a larger diameter than the first body, a continuous ring and a loop comprising a first end and a second end where the loop first and second ends are operatively coupled to the continuous ring. The insert is releasably attached to the resiliently stretchable material by placing the insert against a portion of the releasably stretchable material and sliding the continuous ring around an outside surface of the resiliently stretchable material and over the insert first body so that the continuous ring substantially abuts the insert second body.
Claims20
An improved slingshot comprising:
- a. a resiliently stretchable material;
- b. an insert comprising:
- i. a first body comprising:
- a) a first end;
- b) an opposite second end;
- c) a first diameter;
- d) a first length extending between the first body first and second ends;
- and
- e) a cavity formed in the first body second end;
- ii. a second body comprising:
- a) a first end;
- b) a second end;
- c) a second diameter;
- and
- d) a second length extending between the second body first and second ends;
- and
- c. a continuous ring comprising an inner third diameter;
- wherein,
- the insert second body second end is positioned adjacent to the insert first body first end;
- the first diameter is smaller than the second diameter;
- the third diameter is substantially the same as the first diameter but smaller than the second diameter;
- the insert is releasably attached to the resiliently stretchable material by placing the insert against a portion of the releasably stretchable material and sliding the continuous ring around an outside surface of the resiliently stretchable material and over the insert first body proximate the insert first body first end so that the continuous ring substantially abuts the insert second body.
An improved slingshot comprising:
- a. a resiliently stretchable pouch comprising:
- i. a closed first end;
- and
- ii. an open second end;
- b. a first ring operatively coupled to the open second end;
- c. an insert comprising:
- i. a first body comprising:
- f) a first end;
- g) an opposite second end;
- h) a first diameter;
- i) a first length extending between the first body first and second ends;
- and
- j) a cavity formed in the first body second end;
- ii. a second body comprising:
- e) a first end;
- f) a second end;
- g) a second diameter;
- and
- h) a second length extending between the second body first and second ends;
- d. a continuous second ring comprising an inner third diameter;
- and
- e. a loop comprising a first end and a second end wherein the loop first and second ends are operatively coupled to the continuous ring;
- wherein,
- the second body second end is positioned adjacent to the first body first end;
- the first diameter is smaller than the second diameter;
- the third diameter is substantially the same as the first diameter but smaller than the second diameter;
- the insert is positioned in the resiliently stretchable pouch so that the first body second end cavity opening faces the resiliently stretchable pouch open second end;
- and
- the continuous second ring is received around an outside surface of the resiliently stretchable pouch over the insert first body proximate the insert first body first end and substantially abutting the insert second body.
An improved slingshot comprising:
- a. a resiliently stretchable material selected from a group consisting of (1) at least one resiliently stretchable band and (2) at least one having resiliently stretchable tubing, the resiliently stretchable material a first end and a second end;
- b. a grip comprising a first arm and a second arm;
- c. an insert comprising:
- i. a first body comprising:
- a) a first end;
- b) an opposite second end;
- c) a first diameter;
- d) a first length extending between the first body first and second ends;
- and
- e) a cavity formed in the first body second end;
- ii. a second body comprising:
- a) a first end;
- b) a second end;
- c) a second diameter;
- and
- d) a second length extending between the second body first and second ends;
- wherein,
- the insert second body second end is positioned adjacent to the insert first body first end;
- the first diameter is smaller than the second diameter;
- the insert is positioned on a resiliently stretchable material intermediate a resiliently stretchable material first and second ends;
- a resiliently stretchable material first end is operatively coupled to the first grip arm and a resiliently stretchable material second end is operatively coupled to the second grip arm;
- the insert is operatively coupled to a resiliently stretchable material.
