Display apparatus having a light-emitting device

A display apparatus comprising:

• a planarization layer disposed on a substrate, the planarization layer including a planarization groove;
• a first electrode disposed on the planarization layer, the first electrode covering a side surface of the planarization groove and a bottom surface of the planarization groove;
• an insulating pattern disposed on a portion of the first electrode covering the side surface of the planarization groove;
• a bank insulating layer disposed on the planarization layer, the bank insulating layer covering an edge of the first electrode;
• a light-emitting layer disposed on a portion of the first electrode exposed by the bank insulating layer;
• and
• a second electrode disposed on the light-emitting layer, the second electrode extending onto the bank insulating layer,
• wherein the bank insulating layer is disposed outside the planarization groove.

A display apparatus comprising:

• a planarization layer disposed on a substrate, the planarization layer including a plurality of planarization protruding portions extending away from the substrate;
• a subpixel disposed on the substrate, the subpixel including a first electrode, a light-emitting layer and a second electrode disposed on at least two adjacent planarization protruding portions among the plurality of planarization protruding portions;
• and
• a planarization groove disposed between the at least two adjacent planarization protruding portions,
• wherein a portion of the light-emitting layer is disposed in the planarization groove.
