Abstract
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for determining a notification based on device properties. A device identification database may associate device identifications with device properties. A device identification associated with a device may be received, and corresponding device properties may be determined. Based on the device properties, a notification may be determined and sent.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a first computing device and from a network device, a device identification of a second computing device;
- determining, based on the device identification of the second computing device and based on information associating one or more device identifications with one or more device properties, a characteristic of a manufacturer of the second computing device;
- determining, based on a determination that the characteristic of the manufacturer of the second computing device matches a predetermined characteristic of a manufacturer, one or more notifications;
- and
- causing sending of the one or more notifications.

An apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:
- receive, from a network device, a device identification of a computing device;
- determine, based on the device identification of the computing device and based on information associating one or more device identifications with one or more device properties, a characteristic of a manufacturer of the computing device;
- determine, based on a determination that the characteristic of the manufacturer of the computing device matches a predetermined characteristic of a manufacturer, one or more notifications;
- and
- cause sending of the one or more notifications.
