Abstract
Aspects described herein may allow for vehicle tracking. Systems and methods described herein may allow a vehicle to automatically detect the presence of a physical marker at a parking space. An image of the physical marker may be processed to determine the location of the vehicle, which may be stored and/or output for display.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- sending, by a mobile device, video of an environment of the mobile device, wherein the video comprises a first image of a first physical marker;
- receiving, by the mobile device and based on the first image, information indicating a path, wherein the information comprises a determined location of the mobile device, a location of the first physical marker, and a location of a vehicle;
- determining, by the mobile device and based on the information indicating the path, one or more directions from the mobile device to the vehicle;
- determining, by the mobile device, a first direction from the one or more directions based on determining a relative orientation of the mobile device and the first physical marker depicted by the first image;
- and
- displaying, by the mobile device and based on the relative orientation, a first augmented reality direction comprising the first direction overlaid on the video.
3 more elements
An apparatus comprising:
- an image sensor;
- a wireless transceiver;
- an orientation sensor;
- a display screen;
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:
- capture, by the image sensor, video of an environment of the apparatus, wherein the video comprises a first image of a first QR code;
- receive, based on the first image, a location of the apparatus;
- send, by the wireless transceiver, a request for a path from the location of the apparatus to a location of a vehicle;
- receive, using the wireless transceiver, information indicating the path, wherein the information comprises a location of the first QR code and the location of the vehicle;
- determine, based on an orientation of the apparatus received from the orientation sensor, based on determining a relative position of the first QR code depicted by the image, based on the location of the apparatus, and based on the path, a first direction to the vehicle, wherein the first direction indicates the location of a second QR code;
- and
- output, for display on the display screen, based on the orientation, and based on the relative position, a first augmented reality direction comprising the first direction overlaid on the video.
11 more elements
An apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing computer-readable instructions, that when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:
- send video of an environment associated with the apparatus, wherein the video comprises a first image of a first physical marker;
- receive, and based on the first image, a location associated with the apparatus;
- receive information indicating a path to a location of a vehicle, wherein the information comprises a location of the first physical marker and a location of the vehicle;
- determine, based on the information indicating the path, one or more directions to the vehicle;
- determine a first direction from the one or more directions based on determining a relative orientation of the apparatus and the first physical marker depicted by the first image, wherein the first direction indicates a second physical marker positioned along the path;
- and
- display, based on the relative orientation, a first augmented reality direction comprising the first direction overlaid on the video.
