• The porous carbon according to claim 1, having a calcium content of 20 ppm or more and 2000 ppm or less.

• The porous carbon according to claim 1, having a sulfur content of 1000 ppm or less, and a silicon content of 1000 ppm or less.

• The porous carbon according to claim 1, having a bulk density of 0.05 g/cm3 or less.

• The method according to claim 7, wherein the mixture in (1) further comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyhydric alcohol and a carboxylic acid.

• The method according to claim 7, wherein the calcium compound has a melting point of 300° C. or less.

• The method according to claim 7, wherein the calcium compound is at least one selected from the group consisting of a calcium chloride hydrate, calcium hydroxide, calcium oxide, calcium carbonate and calcium acetate.

• The method according to claim 7, wherein the carbon source is a saccharide.

• The method according to claim 11, wherein the saccharide is at least one selected from the group consisting of a monosaccharide, a disaccharide and a polysaccharide.

• The method according to claim 7, wherein removing the calcium compound in (3) is performed by acid washing.

• The method according to claim 7, wherein heat-treating in (2) comprises heat-treating at a temperature of 400° C. or more and 1300° C. or less.

• The method according to claim 7, wherein heat-treating in (2) comprises increasing temperature at a rate of 2° C./min or more.

• A positive electrode additive for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, comprising the porous carbon according to claim 1.

• A positive electrode additive for a lithium ion secondary battery, comprising the porous carbon according to claim 1.

• A composition for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery positive electrode comprising the porous carbon according to claim 1.

• A composition for a lithium ion secondary battery positive electrode comprising the porous carbon according to claim 1.

• A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising a positive electrode comprising the composition for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery positive electrode according to claim 18.
