Abstract
A device for a machine tool is a device being attachable to an attachment portion of the machine tool, and including: a power receiving portion provided at a position facing a power supply portion provided on the machine tool along a direction intersecting a rotation axis of the device for the machine tool for receiving power from the power supply portion in a non-contact manner; a communication portion capable of communicating with a device external to the device for the machine tool; and a function portion that operates on the power obtained from the power receiving portion and communicates with the external device via the communication portion.

A device for a machine tool, the device being attachable to an attachment portion of the machine tool, the device comprising:
- a power receiving portion provided at a position facing a power supply portion provided on the machine tool along a direction intersecting a rotation axis of the device for the machine tool for receiving power from the power supply portion in a non-contact manner;
- a communication portion capable of communicating with a device external to the device for the machine tool;
- and
- a function portion that operates on the power obtained from the power receiving portion and communicates with the external device via the communication portion.
A device for a machine tool, the device being attachable to an attachment portion of the machine tool, the device comprising:
- a power receiving portion provided at a position facing a power supply portion provided on the machine tool along a direction intersecting a rotation axis of the device for the machine tool for receiving power from the power supply portion in a non-contact manner;
- a communication portion capable of communicating with a device external to the device for the machine tool;
- and
- a function portion including at least one of a temperature sensor, an oscillator, an actuator and a motor, that operates on the power obtained from the power receiving portion and communicates with the external device via the communication portion.
A machine tool comprising:
- an attachment portion being attachable to a first device having (i) a power receiving portion provided at a position facing a power supply portion provided on the machine tool along a direction intersecting a rotation axis of the device for the machine tool for receiving power from the power supply portion in a non-contact manner and (ii) a communication portion capable of communicating with a second device external to the first device for the machine tool and (iii) a function portion that operates on the power obtained from the power receiving portion and communicates with the second device via the communication portion;
- and
- a moving portion moving the attachment portion.
