A Stirling type cryogenic refrigerator device comprising:
- a dual-piston compressor and a pneumatic expander, wherein some of the pneumatic expander is concealed within the body of the dual-piston compressor.
A system comprising:
- a Stirling type cryogenic refrigerator device comprising:
- a dual-piston compressor and a pneumatic expander, wherein some of the pneumatic expander is concealed within the body of the dual-piston compressor;
- and
- an imaging system comprising a focal plane array,
- wherein the focal plane array is configured to be maintained at a predefined temperature by a thermal connection to the Stirling type cryogenic refrigerator device.
