Abstract
The present disclosure describes the engineering of microbial cells for fermentative production of deoxyhydrochorismic acid and provides novel engineered microbial cells and cultures, as well as related deoxyhydrochorismic acid production methods.
Claims19
An engineered microbial cell that expresses a non-native chorismate dehydratase, wherein the engineered microbial cell produces deoxyhydrochorismic acid, optionally wherein, when cultured, the engineered microbial cell produces deoxyhydrochorismic acid at a level of at least 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000, or 1500 mg/L of culture medium.
