Magnetic memory and manufacturing method

A magnetic memory, comprising:

• a plurality of magnetic cylinders extending in a first direction and arrayed in columns along a second direction and rows along a third direction;
• a plurality of field lines extending in the second direction and spaced from one another in the third direction;
• a magnetic yoke including a first portion above the field lines in the first direction, a second portion extending in the second direction between adjacent field lines, a third portion below the plurality of field lines in the first direction, and a plurality of fourth portions, each fourth portion having a part inside an upper end portion of one of the plurality of magnetic cylinders, the fourth portions being electrically coupled to the second portion;
• and
• a plurality of bit lines extending in the third direction and spaced from one another in the second direction, each magnetic cylinder having a lower end electrically coupled to one of the plurality of bit lines.

A manufacturing method of a magnetic memory, comprising:

• forming a plurality of holes in a non-magnetic layer, the holes extending in a first direction from a first surface of the non-magnetic layer;
• forming a third portion of magnetic material on a periphery of the plurality of holes on the first surface;
• forming a first magnetic member within an inner wall of each of the plurality of holes;
• embedding a non-magnetic insulator inside the first magnetic member;
• etching back a portion of the non-magnetic insulator from the first surface;
• forming a fourth portion inside the first magnetic member by embedding magnetic material on the non-magnetic insulator inside the first magnetic member;
• forming a plurality of first wirings above the first surface and spaced apart from the first magnetic member, the first wirings extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction and adjacent to each other in a third direction intersecting the first direction and the second direction such that at least one first magnetic member is positioned between the adjacent first wirings in plan view from the first direction;
• forming a second portion extending in the second direction between the adjacent first wirings by embedding magnetic material between the adjacent first wirings;
• and
• forming a first portion of magnetic material electrically coupled to the second portion above the plurality of first wirings.
