Abstract
A connected aquatic equipment system is provided. The connected system includes system components, such as pool equipment, which can be automatically detected and configured based on identification elements and operating parameters of the pool components. The connected system can update the configuration settings of the pool components based on the addition of new pool components. The connected system is also designed to monitor and update the operating parameters of the pool components based, at least in part, on the status and performance of other pool components of the system.
Claims20
A method for configuring a connected aquatic system, the method comprising:
- receiving a data set including an identification element of a pool component and an operating parameter of the pool component;
- extracting the identification element of the pool component using a processor of a central controller;
- extracting the operating parameter of the pool component using the processor of the central controller;
- initiating a configuration process to analyze the operating parameter of the pool component;
- identifying a proposed update to the operating parameter based on an output of the configuration process;
- initiating an update process to execute the proposed update;
- and
- updating the operating parameter of the pool component based on the output of the update process.
A connected aquatic equipment system, comprising:
- a first pool component with a first identification element;
- a second pool component with a second identification element;
- a first sensing device designed to collect a first data set including operating parameters of the first pool component;
- a second sensing device designed to collect a second data set including the operating parameters of the second pool component;
- and
- a central controller designed to automatically detect and configure the first pool component and the second pool component based on the operating parameters of the first pool component and the second pool component.
A method of configuring a connected aquatic system, comprising:
- providing a first pool component defined by a first identification element and a first operational parameter;
- connecting the first pool component to a controller;
- providing a second pool component defined by a second identification element and a second operational parameter;
- automatically connecting the second pool component to the controller and the first pool component via the second identification element;
- and
- adjusting the first operational parameter in response to the second pool component connecting to the controller.
