Abstract
A masterbatch for improving the melt rheology of a thermoplastic polyester. The masterbatch comprises a polyanhydride, a secondary antioxidant, and at least one thermoplastic carrier. In the masterbatch, the weight ratio of the polyanhydride and the secondary antioxidant is 5:1 to 1:5.

A method of improving the melt rheology of a thermoplastic polyester, said method comprising the step of melt mixing a polyanhydride and a secondary antioxidant with the thermoplastic polyester, the weight ratio of the polyanhydride and the secondary antioxidant being 5:1 to 1:5.
