A composition for bonding a backing to a carpet face comprising:
- between about 19% and about 24% by weight of a latex base;
- between about 65% and about 75% by weight of a filler, wherein the filler is comprised of between about 1% and about 50% by weight of a cellulosic and plastic component, wherein the cellulosic and plastic component comprises between about 1% and about 50% by weight of a filler water;
- and
- the remainder water;
- wherein a cellulosic material in the cellulosic and plastic component is selected from a group consisting of cellulose, wood fiber, carbon, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), starch, jute, hemp, paper, cardboard, or combinations thereof;
- and
- wherein the cellulosic and plastic component comprises a ratio of between about 10% and about 30% by weight of cellulosic material, and between about 90% to about 70% by weight of plastic material.

A cellulosic and plastic composition, comprising:
- between about 1% and about 50% by weight of water;
- a recycled plastic;
- and
- wherein the cellulosic matter in the cellulosic and plastic compound is selected from a group consisting of cellulose, wood fiber, carbon, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), starch, jute, hemp, paper, cardboard, or combinations thereof.
1 more element
A method of making a soft surface product for floor, wall or ceiling, wherein said method comprises:
- providing a first face formed from a textile;
- providing a backing;
- adhering the first face to the backing with an adhesive;
- wherein the adhesive comprises
- between about 19% and about 24% by weight of a latex formulation;
- between about 65% and about 75% by weight of a filler, wherein the filler is comprised of between about 1% and about 50% by weight of a cellulosic and plastic component, wherein the cellulosic and plastic component comprises between about 1% and about 50% by weight of a filler water;
- and
- the remainder water;
- wherein a cellulosic material in the cellulosic and plastic component is selected from a group consisting of cellulose, wood fiber, carbon, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), starch, jute, hemp, paper, cardboard, or combinations thereof;
- and
- wherein the cellulosic and plastic component comprises a ratio of between about 10% and about 30% by weight of cellulosic material, and between about 90% to about 70% by weight of plastic material.
