## Abstract

Embodiments relate to coordinating the operations of subsystems in a communication system of an electronic device where a coexistence hub device monitors the state information transmitted as coexistence messages over one or more multi-drop buses, processes the monitored coexistence messages and sends out control messages as coexistence messages to other systems on chips (SOCs). The coexistence hub device can also update the operations of the communication system. The coexistence hub device may receive an operation policy from a central processor and may execute the operation policy without further coordination of the central processor. The coexistence hub device broadcasts the control messages as coexistence messages according to the executed operation policy.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An integrated circuit (IC) chip, comprising:
a multi-drop bus; and
an application processor coupled to the multi-drop bus and configured to:
operate in a first power mode;
send an initial operation policy to a coexistence hub device by the multi-drop bus; and
switch to operate in a second power mode consuming less power than the first power mode, while the initial operation policy is executed by the coexistence hub device.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The IC chip of claim 1, wherein the application processor is further configured to send an updated operation policy to the coexistence hub device for deployment.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The IC chip of claim 1, wherein the application processor is further configured to:
receive, while operating in the second power mode, a signal from a first device coupled to the multi-drop bus;

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The IC chip of claim 1, wherein the application processor is further configured to receive a current state from the coexistence hub device.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The IC chip of claim 4, wherein the current state comprises radio frequency (RF) channels in use by one or more devices coupled to the coexistence hub device or a transmission power of a radio signal used by the one or more devices or the coexistence hub device.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The IC chip of claim 1, wherein the initial operation policy comprises a first portion of an operation policy, and wherein the application processor is further configured to:
receive an indication that a device coupled to the coexistence hub device is turned on; and
send, to the coexistence hub device, a second portion of the operation policy relevant to the device.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The IC chip of claim 1, wherein the coexistence hub device is coupled to the multi-drop bus and the application processor and configured to:
receive the initial operation policy from the application processor; and
deploy the initial operation policy to one or more devices coupled to the coexistence hub device.
