• A method for producing the acetalization product according to claim 1, the method comprising:
• (i) preparing a dispersion comprising an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer, an aldehyde, and a solvent, and impregnating the ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer with at least one portion of the aldehyde;
• and
• (ii) subsequently adding a catalyst to the dispersion and acetalizing the ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer via an acetalization,
• wherein
• the ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer is a porous object, and
• the acetalization is performed by solid-liquid reaction.
