Abstract
A vehicle control apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The vehicle control apparatus includes a first detection device that detects biometric information of a passenger in a vehicle using a sensor and a processor electrically connected with the first detection device. The processor: determines whether to approve a predetermined autonomous driving level based on the biometric information; determines whether the passenger has dementia based on voice interaction in response to determining that the predetermined autonomous driving level is not approved; and determines whether to perform autonomous driving based on the result of determining whether the passenger has dementia.
Claims19
A vehicle control apparatus, comprising:
- a first detection device configured to detect biometric information of a passenger in a vehicle using a sensor;
- and
- a processor electrically connected with the first detection device,
- wherein the processor is configured to
- determine whether to approve a predetermined autonomous driving level based on the biometric information,
- determine whether the passenger has dementia based on voice interaction in response to determining that the predetermined autonomous driving level is not approved, and
- determine whether to perform autonomous driving based on the result of determining whether the passenger has dementia.
A vehicle control method, comprising:
- detecting biometric information of a passenger in a vehicle using a sensor;
- determining whether to approve a predetermined autonomous driving level based on the biometric information;
- determining whether the passenger has dementia based on voice interaction in response to determining that the predetermined autonomous driving level is not approved;
- and
- determining whether to perform autonomous driving based on the result of determining whether the passenger has dementia.
