Abstract
A light emitting element of one or more embodiments includes a first electrode, a second electrode provided on the first electrode, and at least one functional layer provided between the first electrode and the second electrode. At least one functional layer may include a heterocyclic compound represented by Formula 1 below. The light emitting element of one or more embodiments including the heterocyclic compound of one or more embodiments may exhibit long lifespan characteristics. In some embodiments, the light emitting element of one or more embodiments may have reduced driving voltage.

A light emitting element comprising:
- a first electrode;
- a second electrode on the first electrode;
- and
- at least one functional layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, the at least one functional layer comprising a heterocyclic compound represented by Formula 1:
- wherein in Formula 1,
- m1 is an integer of 1 to 5,
- m2 to m5 are each independently an integer of 1 to 4,
- m6 and m7 are each independently an integer of 1 to 3,
- at least one selected from among R1 to R7 is a deuterium atom, and
- remaining ones of R1 to R7 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 30 ring-forming carbon atoms.
