Abstract
A communication system is disclosed in which a communication device transmits, to a base station and using communication resources that may be used for grant-free uplink communications, uplink data and information from which the communication device can be identified, wherein the information from which the communication device can be identified comprises a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) value that is encoded with identity information identifying the communication device (for example, a C-RNTI of the communication device).
Claims8
A method for a user equipment (UE) comprising:
- scrambling data including a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) and Cyclic Redandanry Check (CRC) for the PUSCH, using a parameter specific for Grant Free transmission;
- determining a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process number corresponding to a Grant Free transmission based on a resource in a predetermined radio frame and a parameter included in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, in a case where the Grant Free transmission is available based on a timing of the Grant Free transmission and a timing of a Grant based transmission;
- and
- transmitting the data to a base station, via the Grant Free transmission.
A user equipment (UE) comprising:
- a memory storing instructions;
- and
- at least one processor configured to process the instructions to:
- scramble data including a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) and Cyclic Redandanry Check (CRC) for the PUSCH, using a parameter specific for Grant Free transmission;
- determine a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process number corresponding to a Grant Free tramsmission based on a resource in a predetermined radio frame and a parameter included in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, in a case where the Grant Free transmission is prioritized based on a timing of the Grant Free transmission and a timing of a Grant based transmission;
- and
- transmit the data to a base station, via the Grant Free transmission.
A method performed by a base station, the method comprising:
- transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message including a parameter for Grant Free transmission;
- configuring a parameter specific for Grant Free transmission used by the UE in scrambling data including a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) and Cyclic Redandanry Check (CRC) for the PUSCH;
- receiving the data from the UE, via the Grant Free transmission, and
- wherein a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process number corresponding to the Grant Free transmission is determined based on a resource in a predetermined radio frame and the parameter included in the RRC message, in a case where the Grant Free transmission is available based on a timing of the Grant Free transmission and a timing of a Grant based transmission.
A base station comprising:
- a memory storing instructions;
- and
- at least one processor configured to process the instructions to:
- transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message including a parameter for Grant Free transmission;
- configure a parameter specific for Grant Free transmission used by the UE in scrambling data including a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) and Cyclic Redandanry Check (CRC) for the PUSCH;
- receive the data from the UE, via the Grant Free transmission, and
- wherein a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process number corresponding to the Grant Free transmission is determined based on a resource in a predetermined radio frame and the parameter included in the RRC message, in a case where the Grant Free transmission is available based on a timing of the Grant Free transmission and a timing of a Grant based transmission.
