Priority and feedback for rate split schemes

An apparatus for wireless communications at a network entity, comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• memory coupled with the at least one processor, the memory storing instructions executable by the at least one processor to cause the network entity to:
• transmit, to a user equipment (UE), control signaling indicating a first communication resource for feedback associated with a common portion of a transmission and a second communication resource for feedback associated with a private portion of the transmission, wherein the second communication resource is subsequent to the first communication resource;
• transmit, to the UE, the transmission comprising the common portion and the private portion;
• and
• receive, from the UE, a feedback message for the common portion via one of the first communication resource or the second communication resource.

A method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• receiving control signaling indicating a first communication resource for feedback associated with a common portion of a transmission and a second communication resource for feedback associated with a private portion of the transmission, wherein the second communication resource is subsequent to the first communication resource;
• receiving the transmission comprising the common portion and the private portion;
• and
• transmitting a feedback message for the common portion via one of the first communication resource or the second communication resource.

A method for wireless communications at a network entity, comprising:

• transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), control signaling indicating a first communication resource for feedback associated with a common portion of a transmission and a second communication resource for feedback associated with a private portion of the transmission, wherein the second communication resource is subsequent to the first communication resource;
• transmitting, to the UE, the transmission comprising the common portion and the private portion;
• and
• receiving, from the UE, a feedback message for the common portion via one of the first communication resource or the second communication resource.
