Abstract
A system and method for customizing protocols associated with curtains in a hospital is disclosed. The method may include receiving a scan of a wall tag associated with a location; providing, by the processor, a list of installed curtains in the location; receiving, by the processor, a replacement reason for one or more of the installed curtains; and receiving, by the processor, a scan of a curtain tag for a new curtain.
Claims17
A method comprising:
- receiving, by one or more processors, wall tag scan data from a plurality of scans of a plurality of wall tags, wherein each of the plurality of wall tags is associated with location information for a location of each of the plurality of wall tags;
- providing, by the one or more processors, a list of a plurality of installed curtains associated with the location information;
- setting, by the one or more processors, blocking flags on a subset of the list of the plurality of installed curtains based on a health associated infection (HAI) replacement reason for needing to replace the installed curtain and the location information being associated with high risk areas, wherein the HAI replacement reason includes at least one of ISO, Covid, MRSA, C.diff or VRE;
- setting, by the one or more processors, a plurality of replacement protocols respectively associated with each of the plurality of installed curtains based on the HAI replacement reason for needing to replace the installed curtain and the location information,
- wherein each of the plurality of replacement protocols include a timeframe for replacement of the installed curtain based on a type of installed curtain, the location information of the installed curtain, a type of room associated with the location information and the HAI replacement reason for needing to replace the installed curtain, and
- wherein a subset of the plurality of replacement protocols includes the blocking flags;
- providing, by the one or more processors, the plurality of replacement protocols respectively associated with each of the plurality of installed curtains;
- receiving, by the one or more processors, a plurality of HAI replacement reasons for a subset of the plurality of installed curtains, wherein the plurality of HAI replacement reasons include at least one of ISO, Covid, MRSA, C.diff or VRE;
- associating, by the one or more processors, each of the plurality of HAI replacement reasons respectively with a status of at least one of each of the plurality of the installed curtains or a room containing each of the plurality of installed curtains;
- associating, by the one or more processors, each of the plurality of HAI replacement reasons respectively with each of the plurality of the installed curtains;
- receiving, by the one or more processors, a notice that a patient having a HAI has vacated the type of room having the location information;
- initiating, by the one or more processors, the plurality of replacement protocols based on the HAI replacement reason for needing to replace the installed curtain for the patient in the type of room having the location information;
- replacing the subset of the plurality of installed curtains with replacement curtains in accordance with the respective plurality of replacement protocols;
- and
- receiving, by the one or more processors, curtain tag scan data from a plurality of scans of a plurality of curtain tags for the replacement curtains that replaced the subset of the plurality of installed curtains.
An article of manufacture including one or more non-transitory, tangible computer readable storage mediums having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by a one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- receiving, by the one or more processors, wall tag scan data from a plurality of scans of a plurality of wall tags, wherein each of the plurality of wall tags is associated with location information for a location of each of the plurality of wall tags;
- providing, by the one or more processors, a list of a plurality of installed curtains associated with the location information;
- setting, by the one or more processors, blocking flags on a subset of the list of the plurality of installed curtains based on a health associated infection (HAI) replacement reason for needing to replace the installed curtain and the location information being associated with high risk areas, wherein the HAI replacement reason includes at least one of ISO, Covid, MRSA, C.diff or VRE;
- setting, by the one or more processors, a plurality of replacement protocols respectively associated with each of the plurality of installed curtains based on the HAI replacement reason for needing to replace the installed curtain and the location information,
- wherein each of the plurality of replacement protocols include a timeframe for replacement of the installed curtain based on a type of installed curtain, the location information of the installed curtain, a type of room associated with the location information and the HAI replacement reason for needing to replace the installed curtain, and
- wherein a subset of the plurality of replacement protocols includes the blocking flags;
- providing, by the one or more processors, the plurality of replacement protocols respectively associated with each of the plurality of installed curtains;
- receiving, by the one or more processors, a plurality of HAI replacement reasons for a subset of the plurality of installed curtains, wherein the plurality of HAI replacement reasons include at least one of ISO, Covid, MRSA, C.diff or VRE;
- associating, by the one or more processors, each of the plurality of HAI replacement reasons respectively with a status of at least one of each of the plurality of the installed curtains or a room containing each of the plurality of installed curtains;
- associating, by the one or more processors, each of the plurality of HAI replacement reasons respectively with each of the plurality of the installed curtains;
- receiving, by the one or more processors, a notice that a patient having a HAI has vacated the type of room having the location information;
- initiating, by the one or more processors, the plurality of replacement protocols based on the HAI replacement reason for needing to replace the installed curtain for the patient in the type of room having the location information;
- replacing the subset of the plurality of installed curtains with replacement curtains in accordance with the respective plurality of replacement protocols;
- and
- receiving, by the one or more processors, curtain tag scan data from a plurality of scans of a plurality of curtain tags for the replacement curtains that replaced the subset of the plurality of installed curtains.
A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more tangible, non-transitory memories configured to communicate with the one or more processors,
- the one or more tangible, non-transitory memories having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
