Vehicular telematic systems and methods for generating interactive animated guided user interfaces

A computer-implemented method for generating an interactive map, comprising:

• receiving a plurality of position values on an actual route of a vehicular trip;
• receiving one or more images, wherein each of the one or more images is associated with a respective one of the plurality of position values;
• visually rendering, on a display device:
• a map;
• and
• one or more graphics on the map, representing the actual route;
• receiving a selection of a location along the actual route, wherein the location is associated with one of the plurality of position values having an associated image of the one or more images;
• and
• displaying on the display device the associated image for the location.

A computing system for generating an interactive map, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• a memory storing instructions that, upon execution by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to perform one or more processes including:
• receiving a plurality of position values on an actual route of a vehicular trip;
• receiving one or more images, wherein each of the one or more images is associated with a respective one of the plurality of position values;
• causing a display device to visually render:
• a map;
• and
• one or more graphics on the map, representing the actual route;
• receiving a selection of a location along the actual route, wherein the location is associated with one of the plurality of position values having an associated image of the one or more images;
• and
• causing the associated image for the location to be displayed on the display device.
