Building sliding door system with electronic display device which extends over the edges

A building sliding door system separating a first building region from a second building region, the building sliding door system comprising:

• a frame structure having a door frame region, a passage region and a wall shell region;
• a sliding door movable along a movement axis in the frame structure between a closed position closing the passage region and an open position opening the passage region, the sliding door having an end face and a door leaf, wherein the wall shell region at least partially receives the sliding door in the open position, wherein the end face points in a direction of the passage region and extends transversely to the movement axis, and wherein the door leaf, starting from the end face, extends parallel to the movement axis;
• a drive unit acting on the sliding door;
• a control device controlling the drive unit to move the sliding door along the movement axis;
• a display device arranged in a fixed vertical section on the sliding door and connected to the control device, wherein the display device has a user interface extending across an edge of the sliding door between a region of the end face and a region of the door leaf;
• and
• wherein the control device controls the display device to display information on a segment of the user interface at the door leaf region and/or a segment of the user interface at the end face region.
