Abstract
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for detecting a change in a drivable area. For example, the method includes determining a ground height associated with a cell of a tile map based on sensor data from a sensor of a vehicle and updating a base map based on a determination that there is a change in a drivable area of the vehicle based on at least the ground height.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- determining, by one or more computing devices, a ground height associated with a cell of a tile map based on sensor data from a sensor of a vehicle;
- and
- updating, by the one or more computing devices, a base map based on a determination that there is a change in a drivable area of the vehicle based on at least the ground height.
A system, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to perform operations comprising:
- determining a ground height associated with a cell of a tile map based on sensor data from a sensor of a vehicle, and
- updating a base map based on a determination that there is a change in a drivable area of the vehicle based on at least the ground height.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one computing device, cause the at least one computing device to perform operations comprising:
- determining a ground height associated with a cell of a tile map based on sensor data from a sensor of a vehicle;
- and
- updating a base map based on a determination that there is a change in a drivable area of the vehicle based on at least the ground height.
